On 5 June at 21:17 (Dutch time), the first commercial moon landing took place. CITIZEN was involved as a technology partner of Japanese space company ispace. Both the lunar lander RESILIENCE and the lunar rover used CITIZEN's own developed Super Titanium™.

Titanium is a particularly light and strong material and has long played an essential role in space exploration. CITIZEN, with more than 55 years of experience and its own innovations in titanium, contributed its expertise to this lunar mission.
Until now, Super Titanium™ was mainly used in CITIZEN watches known for their light weight and robustness, such as the models in the ZENSHIN series. So now this advanced material is also in use in space and on the lunar surface.
The moon landing was broadcast live 5 June 2025 via ispace's website(www.ispace-inc.com/landing) and their YouTube channel.
