Citizen watches are known for their precision, innovative technology and durability. Whether you wear a classic automatic timepiece or an advanced radio-controlled Eco-Drive model, setting the time correctly is essential for optimal use. In this manual, you will find clear step-by-step instructions for setting the time on a selection of commonly used Citizen timepieces. This will ensure that your watch always runs exactly wherever you are.
Use the instructions that correspond to the calibre number of your watch - this number can usually be found on the back of the case.

Citizen E660 movement
- Pull the crown out to position 1.
- Turn the crown to set the function hand to [SET].
- Pull the crown out further to position 2.
- Press and release button A (bottom right).
- Press Button A repeatedly to select the item you wish to adjust (hour/minute → date → year/month → weekday).
- Turn the crown to adjust the values.
- Push the crown back to position 0 to complete the setting.

Citizen 8215 movement
- Pull the crown out to position 2.
- Turn the crown clockwise or anticlockwise to set the time.
- Note whether it is midnight or noon to properly time the date correction.
- Push the crown back to position 1 and turn clockwise to set the date.
- Push the crown back to the base position.

Citizen J250 movement
- Unscrew the screw-down crown.
- Pull the crown out to position 2.
- Turn the crown left or right to set the time.
- Push the crown back to position 1 to set the date.
- Turn clockwise to adjust the date.
- Screw the crown back in place against the case.

Citizen U680 movement
- Pull the crown out to position 1.
- Set the function to TME.
- Press buttons A + B simultaneously to change the local time.
- Pull crown out to position 2.
- Set summer time (DST ON/OFF) via Button A.
- Set via Button B and the crown: seconds, minutes, hours and 12/24-hour system.
- Push crown back to base position to exit.

Citizen U822 movement
- Set the mode to CAL (time and calendar) via Button B.
- Press and hold button B until the LCD changes.
- Choose your time zone with buttons A/C, confirm with B.
- Set summer time with A/C, confirm with B.
- Then set seconds, minutes, hours, year, month and date via A/C and confirm each step with B.
- After the last step, the screen shows "SETTING COMPLETE" and the setting is complete.

Citizen H800 movement
- Pull the crown out to position 1.
- Turn the crown to set the seconds hand to the desired city (time zone).
- Press Button B to select summer/standard time.
- Hold down Button B for 2 seconds: second hand moves to 6:00, stopwatch minutes to 00.
- Pull crown further out to position 2.
- Turn the crown to set the minutes, hours and 24-hour display.
- Press button B to set the date.
- Turn the crown to select the date.
- Press Button B again to set the day.
- Press crown to exit.

Citizen H145 (also H144) movement
- Pull the crown out to position 2.
- Press Button A briefly to activate the setting mode.
- Using the crown, set the seconds hand to 12:00.
- Press Button A again and now set minute and hour hands to 12:00 with the crown.
- Press button A again and now set the date to 1 with the crown.
- Push the crown back to the base position to save.

Citizen B740 (diving watch with depth gauge)
- Unscrew the screw-down crown.
- Pull the crown out to position 2.
- Turn the crown to set the time (hours, minutes and 24-hour hand).
- Push the crown back to position 1.
- Turn the crown anti-clockwise to set the date.
- Screw the crown back in place against the case.

Citizen U600 (a.o. Skyhawk) movement
- Pull the crown out to position 1.
- Turn crown to select TME mode.
- Push crown back into base position.
- Press button A + B simultaneously to change analogue/digital time.
- Pull crown out to position 2.
- Using buttons A/B, set: summer time, seconds, minutes, hours, 12/24-hour mode.
- Turn crown to change each item.
- Push crown back to base position to save.
