The Citizen Promaster AV0104-06W is an anniversary model for enthusiasts of watches with a story to tell. The design draws inspiration from Citizen’s iconic Tsuno chronographs and classic motorsport instruments. This is immediately apparent from the striking bullhead construction, in which the chronograph controls are positioned on top of the case. The steel case measures 44.5 mm and combines silver-coloured surfaces with gold-coloured accents, a green dial and a brown leather strap. Beneath the domed sapphire crystal lies an intricately detailed chronograph layout. Citizen is producing this model as a limited edition of 5,000 pieces worldwide, making the watch not only a technical instrument but also a special collector’s item.
The E210 movement makes this model much more than just a retro-styled chronograph. The flyback function allows the chronograph to be quickly reset and restarted, which was originally particularly useful for consecutive time measurements. The timing function runs for up to twelve hours and is complemented by an alarm, date display and remaining power reserve indicator. The movement is powered by Eco-Drive, combining the look of a classic mechanical motorsport chronograph with modern ease of use. The case is water-resistant to 20 bar and the sapphire crystal offers good protection against scratches.
