The Citizen NK0044-57E is an automatic Promaster featuring a striking black dial and a technical design that clearly references the world of aviation. The case measures 40 mm and is crafted from Super Titanium. The metal bracelet also utilises this lightweight material, meaning the entire watch weighs approximately 100 grams.
Surrounding the black dial is a rotating bezel with a calculation scale. This not only gives the model an instrument-like appearance but also adds a functional element in keeping with classic pilot’s watches.
Citizen uses flat , anti-reflective sapphire crystal, whilst luminous hands and hour markers ensure the time can be read clearly even in low light.
Instead of Eco-Drive, the NK0044-57E uses a fully mechanical automatic movement. The rotor in the movement moves with your wrist and uses that motion to wind the mainspring. A full wind provides approximately 60 hours of power reserve. This means the watch can continue to function for a few days even when not being worn.
The transparent screw-down case back reveals what’s happening inside and gives this Promaster extra appeal for mechanical watch enthusiasts. The combination with Super Titanium is particularly practical.
Despite its robust 20 bar water resistance and technical appearance, the watch remains light enough for prolonged wear.
The sapphire crystal helps to minimise scratches, and the dark colour scheme makes the NK0044-57E versatile for pairing with various outfits.
