Citizen announced the Attesa EVER SINCE BY1000-69L on 13 October 2026. For the design, the Japanese watch brand drew inspiration from mountains and a tranquil winter forest, covered in a layer of fresh snow.
That wintry landscape is reflected in the deep blue hues and delicate patterns on the dial. Small sparkles evoke the light reflecting off the snow. The white moon adds a distinctive detail.

The light silver colour of the case and watch strap creates a calm look, whilst the blue dial draws all the attention.
As far as we’re concerned, that’s precisely the strength of this design. The winter theme is evident in the colours, patterns and finish. You don’t need to draw a snowflake on it to get that wintery feel straight away.

That distinctive white moon on the dial is not merely decorative. The Citizen Attesa EVER SINCE BY1000-69L features the H874 movement with the Luna Programme.
The Luna Programme is a technology that enables Citizen to calculate the moon phase based on calendar data. This allows the watch to display the current phase of the moon.
The moon phase display is therefore a functional feature of the watch. A lovely addition for those who not only want to tell the time, but also enjoy wearing a bit of special technology on their wrist.
The Attesa BY1000-69L is powered by Citizen Eco-Drive. This technology converts light into electrical energy and stores it in a rechargeable energy cell.
Both daylight and artificial light can power the watch. This means there is no need to have a standard watch battery replaced regularly.
In addition, the model features radio-controlled time synchronisation. When the watch receives a suitable radio signal, the time and calendar are automatically adjusted.
The result is a watch that is not only exceptionally attractive to look at, but also offers a great deal of practical convenience. It is precisely this combination that makes the Citizen Attesa collection so appealing.
The Citizen Attesa EVER SINCE is not only special because of its dial; the materials also deserve attention.
The case and watch strap are made from Citizen Super Titanium. This is titanium that has been given a special surface treatment by Citizen.
Titanium already has a significant advantage over stainless steel: it is relatively light. As a result, a titanium watch usually feels comfortable on the wrist.
Citizen combines this material with a Duratect surface treatment. This makes the surface harder and more resistant to scratches and the signs of everyday wear and tear.
The watch case has a diameter of 41.5 mm and is just 10.8 mm thick. Given the extensive technology involved, that is a beautifully slim profile.
Citizen has fitted the Attesa BY1000-69L with anti-reflective sapphire crystal. This type of watch glass is highly scratch-resistant, and the anti-reflective coating helps to reduce glare.
In addition, the watch features a world time function covering 24 time zones. This is handy for anyone who travels regularly or is in contact with people in other parts of the world.
So there’s quite a lot of technology packed into this Citizen, without the case becoming overly thick or heavy. And that makes the watch not only a pleasure to look at, but also interesting to actually wear.
This is a very limited-edition watch that will also be available in Europe; presumably, a few pieces will go on sale in the Netherlands and Belgium, but unfortunately the chances of you getting hold of one aren’t great. Should a Dutch jeweller stock this model, the number of watches available will be very limited!
A distinctive dial and advanced technology are enough to make a watch interesting. But this Citizen Attesa offers something extra: exclusivity.
According to Citizen’s international press release and the official Japanese product page, only 2,400 Citizen Attesa EVER SINCE BY1000-69L watches will be produced worldwide.
It is therefore a genuine Limited Edition and not a model that will remain in production indefinitely.
The international launch has been announced for November 2026. Whether and when this specific Attesa will also be available in the Netherlands has not yet been confirmed based on the official information.
For collectors and Citizen enthusiasts, this is certainly a model to keep an eye on. In particular, the combination of the winter-themed design, the moon phase display and the limited edition run gives this watch a character all of its own.
