With its green dial, the Citizen Sky AT8398-53X Promaster Sky puts a modern spin on the technical pilot’s watch. Behind that striking colour lies a comprehensive range of features. The case and integrated metal bracelet are crafted from Super Titanium, making the watch feel considerably lighter than a comparable steel model.
The case measures approximately 40.5 mm and is just over 10 mm thick. This makes the watch surprisingly comfortable to wear for a model featuring radio-controlled time, world time and chronograph functions. The sapphire crystal protects the detailed dial from everyday scratches and helps maintain a well-maintained appearance over time.
The AT8398-53X can receive time signals from Japan, China, Europe and the United States. Within range of a suitable transmitter, the watch can therefore automatically set itself to the correct time.
If you’re travelling to a different time zone, the world time function offers a choice of 26 cities. The perpetual calendar also adds to the convenience, as it takes into account varying month lengths and leap years right up to 2100.
The chronograph allows you to measure short time intervals, whilst a power reserve indicator clearly shows how much power is available. This power comes from Eco-Drive, eliminating the need to regularly replace a conventional battery. The watch is water-resistant to 10 bar, providing ample protection for normal daily water exposure and swimming.
The green dial makes this model particularly appealing to those seeking all the practical features of a Promaster Sky, whilst wanting something a little different from the usual black or blue.
