Whether you’re timing a walk or keeping track of how long a job takes, with the Zeppelin 9670-4 Méditerranée you can measure elapsed time straight from your wrist. These are the benefits of a chronograph/stopwatch. This stylish Zeppelin watch combines a petrol-coloured dial and gold-coloured numerals with a cognac-coloured calfskin strap. Orange stitching adds a distinctive touch to the strap. The design pays homage to Zeppelin’s classic aviation heritage, whilst the Japanese quartz movement is particularly practical if you’re looking for a watch that doesn’t need winding every day.
Use the top push-button to start and stop the chronograph. After stopping, reset the measurement to zero using the bottom push-button. The central stopwatch hand and the minute counter work together to measure up to 59 minutes and 59 seconds. Handy for a short training session or for comparing the times of two activities. The regular time display continues to run in the meantime.
The large central seconds hand is part of the stopwatch. When you’re not timing anything, it can therefore remain stationary. The small seconds hand shows the seconds of the standard time. This keeps the daily time display and timing functions separate. The date window also helps you quickly check the correct date.
The battery-powered quartz movement continues to run even when you alternate the Zeppelin with another watch or are not wearing it. This makes this model an attractive choice if you want to minimise the effort involved in winding it. The battery lasts for several years with normal use and can be replaced by any jeweller. The case, manufactured in Germany, is 12 mm thick and has a polished finish. The leather strap gives the watch a smart look when worn with a shirt or jumper. It is water-resistant to 5 bar; avoid prolonged exposure of the leather to water.
