Bright blue on a matt black background: the TW Steel CS130 Canteen shows just how much of a difference colour can make. The blue hands and hour markers complement the azure blue strap beautifully. All this is encased in a sturdy 45 mm steel case. This automatic men's watch has exactly the generous look you’d expect from a Canteen, with a clear dial that gives the colour plenty of space to shine.
The energy for the NH35 movement is stored in a mainspring. A rotating weight inside the watch – the rotor – winds this mainspring whilst you’re wearing it. So you don’t need a battery. Manual winding via the crown is also possible. Handy if you’ve left your watch unused for a while and want to start wearing it again.
The broad blue hands stand out clearly against the black dial. The date display lets you see the day of the month at a glance. The movement also features a seconds stop: when setting the time, the seconds hand stops. This allows you to align the hands precisely with another clock. A small technical detail that’s genuinely useful.
The silicone/rubber strap is supple and moisture-resistant, making it comfortable for everyday use. The CS130 features reinforced mineral glass and is water-resistant to 10 ATM, allowing you to swim provided the crown is securely closed.
